Classroom timer for the projector
Put a countdown on the board that the back row can read. Students see exactly how long they have, and you stop answering "how much time is left?"

For any other length, open the big clock and set a custom time.
Ways teachers use it
- Transitions: five minutes to pack up, switch stations or line up.
- Centers and group work: one countdown per rotation, so groups move together.
- Tests and quizzes: a calm, visible clock instead of time warnings out loud.
- Independent reading: twenty minutes on the board, no clock-watching from desks.
- Cleanup races: three minutes and a clear finish line.
Tips for the projector
- Show full screen so nothing else is on the board. Ads never appear on the full-screen view.
- Pick colors on purpose. Green for work time and red for wrap-up gives students a signal at a glance. Change them under Display settings.
- Tap or click the screen to pause if you need to stop the class, and again to keep going.
- When time's up, the screen flashes and beeps. If your computer is set to reduce motion, the colors change instead of flashing.
- Keeping score in a review game? The scoreboard puts two teams' points on the board the same way.
FAQ
Do students need an account or app?
No. It runs in any web browser, with nothing to install and no sign-up for you or your students.
Will the timer keep going if I switch to my slides?
Yes. It's based on the actual time, so switching tabs or windows won't throw it off. Switch back whenever you're ready.
Can I turn off the beep?
The beep uses your computer's sound, so muting the computer or projector silences it. The screen still changes when time is up.
